ST FRANCIS AND THE WOLF

This work depicts Saint Francis at the moment he encounters the wolf of Gubbio, a scene that is rare in art history but rich in meaning. In a forest bathed in a mysterious and peaceful light, the saint leans toward the animal in a gesture of dialogue and compassion. It is a moment of profound humanity, where fear transforms into understanding. For me, it is a particularly moving painting: the model is my brother Marco, to whom I dedicate this work, and whom I was fortunate enough to paint before he passed away.
