Patience is a virtue that has always fascinated me, because it concerns aspects such as being strong, resisting, knowing how to wait, knowing how to give despite the dark and mysterious sides that life holds. And continuing to Believe. I have always seen all this in my mother, and I have tried to paint her to make her embody this symbol of strength, spirit, protection and hope. I studied a triangular composition to increase the symbolic strength and solidity for the viewer. I wanted with the clothes to evoke Mary, as a symbol of motherhood.
